James (Jamie) Jupp, P.Eng.

My Role and Responsibilities

My name is Jamie, and I am a Senior Project Manager in Burnside’s Water and Wastewater group. I have been actively involved in all aspects of water and wastewater projects throughout my career, which has given me a broad knowledge base that helps me to address the varied needs of our diverse client base.

I joined Burnside in 2017 after spending the previous 10 years at a global consulting engineering firm. Prior to consulting, I worked on the original equipment manufacturer supplier side of the industry, which has given me extensive experience in process engineering for numerous treatment technologies and approaches.

I am now heavily involved with both the delivery of projects for our clients, as well as client development, proposals, and other business development activities and leadership of our Water and Wastewater group. I also have significant experience in asset management and condition assessment for municipal facilities, as well as with membrane bioreactors on the wastewater side and ultrafiltration and nanofiltration systems for drinking water applications.

My Interests and Hobbies

When not at work, you can find me spending time with my three boys, camping, snowboarding, cottaging, or coaching minor hockey.
