My Role and Responsibilities

My name is Jeremy, and I am Burnside’s Regional Manager for West-Central Ontario clients, including Huron, Perth, Bruce, and Oxford. I joined Burnside in 2006 and currently manage a staff of 15 out of our Wingham office.

One of my primary technical areas of focus is Municipal Drains that are administered under the Ontario Drainage Act, for which I have completed several projects and reports. Drainage projects have included channel, pipe, and culvert crossings, as well as storm sewers, and I have been responsible for the design, tendering, and construction of the project as well as landowner site meetings, council presentations, and appeal hearings.

Another area of focus is on linear infrastructure and road reconstruction. During my career, I have been involved with the design and reconstruction of watermain, sanitary and storm sewers as well as street construction, including horizontal and vertical alignment and grading.

A third area of focus is in the field of land development, in which I have completed commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects (up to 400 lots) in both new and existing developments. I have completed a full suite of engineering services for these developments, including stormwater management, site servicing, grading, site plan, layout, and overall traffic flow.

My Interests and Hobbies

In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf, biking, and gardening in the summer months, and cross-country and downhill skiing in the winter months. I have also spent several years coaching my kids’ baseball and soccer teams, and I currently spend much of my spare time watching their sports and other interests.
