Manager, Contaminant HydrogeologyMy Role and Responsibilities
My name is Kathleen, and I am Burnside’s Manager of Contaminant Hydrogeology and a licensed Professional Geoscientist with over 20 years of experience in geological and environmental investigations. I am also a Qualified Person (QP) as per O. Reg. 153/04.
During my career, I have completed numerous Phase One and Phase Two Environmental Site Assessments at a variety of sites involving potentially contaminated soil and groundwater in urban and remote areas across Canada. My experience includes excess soil investigations, groundwater studies, drilling and test pit programs, tank removals, fill assessments, contaminated soil excavations, and remediation. My experience also includes conducting Designated Substances Surveys at residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
My broad range of experience that I have accumulated over my career to date provides a strong foundation to effectively address and resolve project challenges for a variety of site applications.
My Interests and Hobbies
You will likely find me in a lake or enjoying the outdoors with my dogs when not at work. For many years, I participated in competitive swimming and synchronized swimming, and one goal that I would like to achieve is to participate as a competitive swimmer, representing Canada at the Masters’ Level.
