My Role and Responsibilities

My name is Kevin, and I am a Certified Arborist, ecologist, and leader of Burnside’s Environmental Planning and Assessment team, where I manage an amazing group of Environmental Assessment coordinators, environmental planners, terrestrial and aquatic ecologists, and arborists. Our team completes environmental assignments for public agencies, land development groups, and peer reviews for municipal clients. I am also Branch Manager of Burnside’s Guelph office location.

I joined Burnside in 2014 after working for many years in a similar role, completing ecology and tree protection assignments for public and private clients. I have worked on large and small projects throughout Southern and Central Ontario, from extensive road and watermain projects to single-lot severances. I have also had the opportunity to work on several memorable projects, including the Gordie Howe International Bridge, Metrolinx transit corridor and station assignments, and Sanofi Pasteur campus improvements.

My Interests and Hobbies

When not at work, I am an avid runner, hiker, and reader and I volunteer with nature-based groups in the Guelph area. I am also a proud father of two children.
