Laura Garner, P.Eng.

Role and Responsibilities

My name is Laura and I am a Project Engineer at Burnside specializing in Land Development for over 10 years. My Burnside career started in 2012 shortly after graduating from Queen’s University with a Civil Engineering degree. I relocated to Calgary to help establish the former Burnside Calgary Branch where I gained experience in servicing, grading and stormwater management design for a variety of land development projects.

In 2018, my husband and I decided to relocate back to Toronto to be closer to family where I’ve been working at the Pickering office since. My work naturally progressed to managing projects, nurturing client relationships, and mentoring junior engineers. I am also the Branch Manager of Burnside’s Pickering office.

My Interests and Hobbies

In my spare time I enjoy playing beach volleyball, exploring diverse cultures through food and travel, and cherishing moments with my husband and our dog at my family cottage at Long Point on Lake Erie.
