My Role and Responsibilities

My name is Mark, and I am Manager of Burnside’s Structural Engineering group, where we work hard to provide high quality service to our clients in both the public and private sectors.

I have many years of experience in structural design, project management, business development, construction support and integrated facility design. In addition to my experience and training as a structural engineer, I have experience in site development and integrated facility design, leading large, multi-disciplinary teams to bring development plans from concept through to construction. I have had the opportunity to work on a wide array of projects in my career thus far, ranging from small home renovations up to large, multi-million-dollar facility developments.

My Interests and Hobbies

Outside of work, you are likely to find me spending time with my family. My wife and I have three very active kids and love to get involved with them as they explore and grow. We have also opened our home as a foster home working to support children and families in our community in need of support. With whatever free time might be left at the end of the day, you will often find me in the shop working on a building project of some kind, usually building the next outdoor toy for the kids, or working on something to enhance our life or home.
