As a graduate of the Civil Engineering program at the University of Waterloo, I have been fortunate to complete five consecutive co-op terms with Burnside before joining full-time in 2024. As a full-time Engineering Assistant in the Land Development Team, I primarily assist with the preliminary and detailed design of subdivision projects. Burnside is a unique company that has allowed me to explore my interests and goals. As a co-op student, I had completed multiple terms in the Transportation Design and Construction Group, Transportation Planning, and Land Development team. These disciplines have exposed me to a broad variety of practical experiences that have complemented my degree at Waterloo.
In each of my coop terms, Burnside stays true to upholding its values and practices in demonstrating “the difference is our people” approach.
